This painting was inspired by the movie "Stand By Me" (1986), about four boys and their deep friendship. The last line of the movie (below) was so poignant that it ran through my mind again and again as I painted...

"It happens sometimes; friends come in and out of your life like busboys at a restaurant. I never had any friends later on like the ones I had when I was twelve. Jesus, does anyone?"

This is the second piece I painted based on this, one of my favorite, movies. This listing is for an original piece of artwork, not a print. This acrylic painting has been topped with chalk pastels and sealed. It is sized at 16 inches high x 20 inches wide. The sides have been painted white so framing isn't necessary. It's signed and will be sent to you wrapped securely!

Please keep in mind that colors can vary from computer monitor and real life, but I have tried my best to get great photos taken outdoors in natural light.
