I have a real fascination with wooden fishing piers, and am making it my mission to paint all the ones I see! This painting is my take on the Oak Island Pier in North Carolina. I chose to do it with a monochromatic oil paint palette, done in Burnt Sienna, or sepia tone. The Oak Island Pier is one of my all-time favorites!
